Assignment 1 - Justin Tooley

To me math is the use of numbers to get precise calculations to help us understand the world. It is used to secure data on our computer, build our homes and fly planes. Magic is the use of tricks to fool peoples perception of what is happening. There is a difference between math and magic, but it can be useful to use math to help you understand some types of magic tricks or create a new magic trick. Although I do not think you can force magic and math to be the same. I do not remember seeing any magics tricks that a really impressed me although I have not spent any time looking at magic tricks before this class.
